Celebrating Women Who Create with Love

Before there were scarves, before there was a website, before the name Wrapped in His Love even existed, there was simply a young woman, passionate about music, sitting in her room with a group of girls, an open Bible, and a desire to help people feel less alone.

Her name is Dani Embu.

During her college years, Dani began hosting a small girls’ Bible study in her room. It wasn’t anything elaborate—just a few students gathering to talk about life, faith, and the things they were carrying in their hearts.

Being a Black student on a predominantly white campus, Dani understood what loneliness could feel like. She knew what it meant to search for belonging. Those evenings slowly became a place where women could come as they were, share openly, pray together, and remember that they were seen and loved by God.

Somewhere in the middle of those seasons, Dani discovered knitting.

At first, it was simply something to do with her hands—something quiet and peaceful between busy days. But the more she knitted, the more she realized how meaningful the process felt. The patience. The rhythm. The way a single strand of yarn could slowly become something beautiful.

Then one day, while reading Scripture, a passage stopped her in her tracks.

“His banner over us is love .”
Song of Solomon 2:4

It felt like a quiet confirmation.

What if knitting could be more than just a hobby?
What if it could become a way to encourage people?
What if something as simple as a scarf could carry comfort, prayer, and hope?

And so the idea for Wrapped in His Love slowly began to take shape.

Along the way, Dani wasn’t alone. Her college friend Sarah Balekage noticed something special in what Dani was building. She felt there was something tangible about it—something God could use powerfully for His glory. Believing in the vision, Sarah decided to stand alongside Dani, supporting and encouraging her as the dream continued to grow.

Together, they began to see that these scarves were more than winter accessories.

Each piece Dani knits today is created slowly and intentionally. She carefully chooses the yarn, prays over every order, and includes a personalized Love Note inspired by Scripture. When someone receives a package from Wrapped in His Love, they receive more than a scarf—they receive a reminder that someone prayed for them, that God sees them, and that they are not alone. She also focuses on community outreach, being located in the United States of America.

On the other hand, Sarah who is now living in the United Kingdom uses her God-given talents and gifts to seek partners, investors and leverage her network (having lived in 4 continents-America, Asia, Europe and Africa) to share the heart behind wrapped in his love and expand its global outreach. She is also a web developer.

Dani and Sarah believe that team work makes the dream work, all for the glory of Christ.

But the dream doesn’t stop there.

Dani imagines coffee tables filled with conversation. Knitting circles where strangers become friends. Spaces where women from different backgrounds gather together, talk about faith and life, and experience real community.

That vision continues to grow—stitch by stitch.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate women like Dani and Sarah—women who believe in one another, who nurture dreams, and who trust that even small beginnings can become something beautiful in God’s hands. Women who create with intention. Women who turn small ideas into meaningful work. Women who build community, speak life into others, and continue moving forward even when the journey isn’t easy.

Sometimes courage looks loud and bold.

But sometimes it looks like this:

A woman with yarn in her hands, faith in her heart, and a quiet belief that love—when shared—can travel farther than we think.

And to every woman reading this:
You are wonderfully made. Your gifts matter. Your story matters too.

Just like the woman described in Proverbs 31, you too can face tomorrow with strength and a smile.

Happy Women’s Day from all of us at Wrapped in His Love 🤍
